Fly Fishers Place
Trout fishing has been very good recently with small streamers and nymphs. The tribal side closes November 1st, but the BLM side remains open for trout through December 31st.

Fly And Field
Good fall trout fishing through riffles, broken current, and softer edges, with nymphing and swinging streamers/trout spey patterns both productive. Dry-fly fishing is more localized around eddies and softer edges; egg patterns are increasingly relevant due to Chinook spawning activity.

Good fall trout fishing with steady flows around 3,600 CFS. Riffles, broken current, and softer edges are productive, with both dry-fly and subsurface opportunities available throughout the day.

Confluence Fly Shop
Both the Camp Stretch and Day Stretch have been fishing incredibly well, with unusually high numbers of 20+ inch Redbands seen over the past two months. Trout spey has been very productive, and October Caddis and egg patterns are producing more and more fish as fall progresses.

Fishing has been really good lately with streamers and nymphs producing well; some dry fly action available in eddies and shallow edges with Mahogany Duns and BWOs. Steelhead season remains closed pending ODFW announcement.

Deschutes Angler
Fall fishing on the Deschutes is productive for redband trout with nymphing and dry-dropper rigs. Dry fly fishing is less consistent all day but picks up in early mornings and evenings.

Fly Fishers Place
Good trout fishing on the day stretch, with nymphing far outperforming other methods. Some dry fly action possible in eddies and shallow riffles; steelhead season is currently closed per ODFW.

Confluence Fly Shop
The Lower Deschutes has been fishing well through fall, with nymphing producing the most fish and good action on October Caddis, eggs, and soft hackle patterns. Steelhead are present as bycatch on the Day Stretch but targeting them is illegal this season.

Trout fishing has been good with stonefly nymphs and some dry fly action in the evenings. River is closed to steelhead angling; salmon angling is closed except near Sherars Falls to the railroad trestle, where bright coho are present.
