Lakes on the Cascade Lakes Highway, including Davis Lake, are fishing well as water temperatures climb and fish become increasingly active. Callibaetis and damsel nymph activity is building, with indicator fishing and slow-stripped leeches among the most productive approaches.

Fishing was productive with multiple trout and jumbo perch to hand, plus one quality largemouth bass caught on a topwater blowup. Water levels have dropped significantly in recent years, which has reduced the largemouth bass population considerably.
