Pass Lake is providing good opportunities for bigger trout locally, though fishing somewhat less consistently than Lone Lake. Chironomids, leeches, and damsels have all been effective, and dragonfly nymph patterns near drop-offs are a strong option as waters warm.

Pass Lake has been running hot and cold, with some days more productive than others. The rainbows are described as exceptionally big and healthy, and chironomid hatches are bringing fish to the surface on warm afternoons and evenings.

Pass Lake is fishing decent with chironomids now on the menu as longer daylight and warming temperatures kick off early-season hatches. Smaller chironomid patterns in size 16-18 have been most productive, with winter staples like Blobs and Bloodworms still effective on slower days.

Pass Lake has been fishing slightly slower than Lone Lake over the last few weeks. Winter stillwater tactics with attractor patterns, bloodworm patterns, chironomids near the bottom, and small leech patterns are the best bets.

A few nice rainbows came to hand on January 1st during a float tube outing. Fish ate Blobs fished under an indicator, though action was not fast and furious.

Pass Lake is open and producing fish, with overall trout numbers lower than in past years but remaining fish being exceptionally healthy and large. Minnow patterns near woody shorelines and Blob/Leech combos under an indicator have been effective.
