Pateros gauge area (lower reach)

Afternoon water temperatures have been hitting the mid to high 60s Fahrenheit at the Pateros gauge, warranting close monitoring. Conditions have cooled slightly from previous weeks but remain borderline for trout fishing in the afternoons.

The Methow has been fishing really well over the last couple of weeks with ideal wading flows around 600 cfs. Prime dry fly conditions with a mix of golden stones, yellow sallies, PMDs, caddis, and hoppers bringing fish to the surface.
